How Valley Home Fix works

We make introductions. Local businesses do the work. Here is how requests may be shared, how we may get paid and what you should verify before hiring.

We're an introduction service, not a repair company.

Valley Home Fix is designed to help residents of Langley, Surrey and Abbotsford understand common home-repair questions and ask to be introduced to independent service companies. We do not employ repair technicians, drive branded service vans, inspect properties, provide regulated trade advice, or guarantee another company's work.

What happens after a request?

  1. You describe the job. The form collects your first name, contact details, city, service category and problem description.
  2. You opt in to limited sharing. Consent is unticked by default. If you choose it, we may share the request with up to two independent local companies to follow up about that request.
  3. A company can respond if available. Participating companies decide whether and when they can take a job. We do not guarantee a response time, availability, quote or completed repair.
  4. You make the hiring decision. Compare written estimates, confirm licensing or credentials where needed, and agree on work and payment directly with the chosen contractor.

How Valley Home Fix can earn money

Participating businesses may pay Valley Home Fix a fee for a qualified customer enquiry or an agreed recurring amount for referrals. This creates a commercial incentive to introduce you to participating companies rather than every contractor in the region. We want that distinction to be obvious, not hidden under a “neutral directory” label.

Homeowners are not charged by Valley Home Fix for the introduction. A contractor may have its own diagnostics, travel, parts, labour and after-hours rates. Always ask that company for its full price.

What we will and will not claim

What we can provide

  • Plain-language local service information
  • Links to published price examples and official resources
  • An opt-in route to possible contractor introductions
  • Clear explanation of who receives a request

What we can't promise

  • That a provider is immediately available
  • A fixed arrival time or repair price
  • That work will qualify for a government rebate
  • That a third party will perform satisfactorily

How to assess an introduced business

Ask for the full company name, proof of appropriate qualifications and insurance, a written scope and total price, and applicable warranty terms. For regulated gas or other safety-sensitive work, check Technical Safety BC’s official contractor registry directly.

Launch notice: This starter website includes an inactive form-service placeholder. Until a real form provider is configured and actual consenting contractor relationships exist, it should not accept customer information or represent that referral matches are currently available.

Common questions

Does Valley Home Fix have an exclusive contract with every listed company?

No such relationship is represented or guaranteed. Any participating companies and their terms must be separately agreed and accurately described when introductions are operational.

Who pays for a repair?

You agree directly with the independent contractor on inspection fees, repairs, payment and warranties. Valley Home Fix does not take repair payments.

Can I withdraw a referral request?

Contact the website operator promptly using the real contact details provided after launch. If data has already been sent to a contractor, you may also need to contact that company directly about its records.
